Very nice belt
Very pleased with the product, looks good and wears very nice in my golf slacks.

Love the strap!
I had been hoping a stretch belt would eventually get produced. Imagine my surprise when I got the email describing your newest belt! Anyway about the belt. I like all the color options available even though I went with basic grey 2.0. The amount of stretchiness is practically perfect. I also really like the 1-3/8 width as most of my other braided belts were around 1 inch which is too small imo. This brings me to the buckle which is where I took off 2 stars. I own 5 different Nextbelts all with different buckles none of which use the "old" belt style of going under and then through the buckle. This is where this new buckle becomes an irritant and requires some fiddling to thread it through the correct slots every single time you put it on. It is also trying to mimic (why?) a regular belt buckle by adding a fake prong (also why?). So I ended up replacing the buckle with a dress belt buckle I had purchased earlier and all is well. At least until I want to wear the dress belt that is.
A traditional belt will go through belt holes that are typically spaced out 1 inch apart from each other. With a ratchet belt, the buckle will lock into place on the teeth of the belt, which are much closer and allow for more flexibility and “in-between” sizes. For example, here are the steps for a Nexbelt Ratchet belt:
Find your pant size
- Add a couple of inches and then cut.
- Insert the strap into the buckle clasp.
Why It Matters for Finding the Perfect Belt
Depending on your gender and even what your dominant hand is, there are set ways belts have and should be worn for years now. Knowing which way to wear a belt can help you determine what kind of belt and buckle is perfect for your needs.

Ratchet Belts
A Ratchet belt is a belt that does not have any belt holes and uses a ratchet system, where the belt will lock into place by using the inside of the buckle. These belts often stay in place by using a latch inside the buckle that will lock onto the teeth of a belt. It also allows you to change your belt's size to a more accurate size than a traditional belt through belt holes.
