When we were looking for a charity to support, we were looking for a cause that was personal to our hearts. We are a family business and we had parents who served in the armed forces and naturally gravitated to a military cause.
There were many charities out there for the military and we chose Folds of Honor for a few reasons:We are a close family and their cause to help families in an aftermath of losing a loved one endeared us. We are in the golf business and it is a comfortable fit with how they raise money through golf events. And also because ofMajor Dan. He is the face of Folds of Honor, which puts his integrity on the line and that gives us comfort knowing the money will be well spentfor the families of those who served our country well.
We approach the giving aspect a little differently than most companies. While most will give a $1 to every sale or a percentage of the net or gross, we like to be more transparent. For every Folds of Honor belt sold either wholesale or retail, we give 20% of the sale price to Folds of Honor. So if you bought a belt for $50 (we do not include tax and shipping in the estimation) we would donate $10 to Folds of Honor.
It’s simple and clean – no funny accounting gimmicks.
We appreciate your purchase and support and Folds of Honor does as well.
